Vitamins and fluoride

At six months of age we will recommend fluoride. Fluoride will help prevent cavities in the years ahead. Your child should receive fluoride supplements until 12 years of age. If your baby is exclusively breastfed, the American Academy of Pediatrics now recommends starting Vitamin D drops before one month of age. Vitamins do not help a baby gain weight, improve appetite, or prevent colds.
