

Making Appointments
Our regular office hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. To make an appointment for physicals, follow-ups or sick visits, please call during these hours. Well child appointments are planned in advance and are available during regular office hours (and as late as 7:00 pm on Tuesdays). Every effort is made to schedule sick visits for the same day.
Please try to keep your appointments. We routinely call a day in advance to remind you of your appointment. If you are more than 15 minutes late for an appointment, you may be asked to reschedule.
If you must cancel your appointment, call during regular office hours so that we may reschedule your child and use that time to serve someone else. We kindly request at least 24 hours notice.
After Hours and Emergencies
Problems do arise when the office is closed. A pediatric health care provider is always on call to answer your urgent questions. If a problem occurs, call the office and the answering service will take your name and number. They will forward the information to the doctor on call. We will return your call as quickly as possible.
If a true emergency arises that cannot wait, call 911 or go to the closest emergency room.
Insurance/Co-Payments
Hawthorn Pediatrics accepts most insurances but it is important for you to be familiar with your own coverage. You are responsible for any co-payments, deductibles or co-insurance due at the time of your visit. Please discuss any problems you may have with paying your bill. We will be as flexible as possible in working out a payment schedule.
